Sneaker Con NYC Exceeded Expectations

Posted by Michael Ventresca on

On Saturday July 25th V4 Clothing attended Sneaker Con in New York City at the Jacob Javit Center. "Sneaker Con is the premier traveling event for sneaker connoisseurs to buy, sell and trade some of the most sought after footwear on the market". For those living under a rock, Sneaker Con is clearly the largest sneaker show in the country. The outcome of the event was a success to say the least.

The Sneaker Con Experience

This was the second time that V4 Clothing attended Sneaker Con, our first experience was held in Chicago in June. It is a very professional, and well organized event with a helpful staff. Not only is it a great atmosphere to trade, sell and buy sneakers but also great for networking and marketing your brand. Both events in which we attended were a success but the energy in New York was like I have never seen before. Whether you were vending or trading, there was never a dull moment. From clothing companies to sneaker customization booths, everybody got along.

There were over 100,00 pairs of sneakers including Jordan's, Nike, New Balance and etc. Whether they were old or new, original or customized everybody had their pick. With over 10,000 attendees traders and vendors were destined to meet their match. They also had celebrities such as Don C and Nick Tershay from Diamond Supply signing autographs.

So far this has been the best sneaker show I have been to yet. Not only was it a lot of fun and exciting but I also met a lot of cool people. Professionalism and organization has an immense impact on the outcome of the show. From my past experience with other sneaker shows I noticed that a lot of people were allowed to set up on the floor without paying for a booth. They also  were trading in crowds in front of vendor booths which made it very unpleasant when trying sell products. At Sneaker Con all traders were located in the Trader Pit away from all the vendors. Overall I am very impressed with Sneaker Con and am excited for the next show in New York.
